Decide how much grain you want to see
A solid stain gives a more opaque color effect. If visible grain is part of the goal, discuss a suitable alternative before choosing a product. The condition of the wood and existing finish may limit the options.
Check the existing coating
Tell us what is on the wood if you know. Peeling, uneven absorption, and worn walking paths affect the preparation plan. Do not assume a new finish can be applied over every old one.
Match the product to the surface
Horizontal decking, vertical siding, indoor woodwork, and composite boards are different applications. Confirm the product’s intended use and the substrate manufacturer’s requirements before work begins.
Is SuperDeck the answer for every deck?
No. The wood or composite type, previous coating, condition, and desired appearance all matter. We’ll assess those details before discussing a specific stain.
